Hi,

I'm mainly an Audi guy and currently drive a yellow 6-speed 2002 S4. I needed a second car to keep the miles off of it, and since I owned a few Z32s in the past I thought I'd give the 240 a try. I've always thought it was a cool car.

So, I picked up a pearl '96 5-speed SE about a week ago and it needs some work, but nothing major. One of the most annoying things right now that I am trying to figure out is what is going on with the gauges. The RPM, Temp and Gas gauges don't work. The spedometer and odometer work fine. The lights come on as well and the clock seems to work also, although it doesn't light up(probably the bulb for it is burned out).

The guy I bought the Nissan from doesn't know much about cars, but he did buy another gauge cluster, hoping to fix the problem, which it didn't. I have both of them and same issue with each one. I don't know what the chances are of both clusters being bad but I'd appreciate ANY sort of help.

Thank you,

Dan

Thank you.

Is there anyone else with more insight on this? For all I know both clusters could be bad.

Yeah, I was going to try that. I just didn't know if this may be one of those common issues that people know the fix for. Thanks
