Ok, please help. What is the name of the car with the 'wave' headlights ? S15 ?And the car with the 'frowning' headlights ? S14 ?What year is a S14 and a S15 ?And one more, If i were to buy a 240SX, I would want to convert it to the 'wave' headlights, Please tell me which is the best car to buy for me to do this, with out buying a Silvia from Japan. I've seen alot of 94 240's do this swap to the 'wave' headlights, is that the ONLY year of 240SX you can do this conversion to or can i do it to a 95 or higher. Please be specific, i'm so confused.Thanx alot, Appreciate it.Rozwell

I can be done with S13 or S14, '89-98. I think it looks better with S14s (95-98)

Ok thank you SO much, you've answered alot of Q's of mine... You say that you can convert any 240SX from 89 to 98 to the Silvia(wave headlights?)I want to do it to a 95, BUT now the real Q, How hard is it ?? do i just bolt on the new parts ? or do i need a kit to bolt on the old holes to line up for the New Parts ? or is it really comlicated and needed to be done by a professional ? is there alot of body work? and how long do you think it'll take? One more thing, is there a package you can buy that'll give you all the parts? or do i need to buy all the parts individualy? becuase i noticed the S15 Headlights are 700 US, wow. this looks expensive.Thanx again for your reply it's helped me.Why dont you see alot of ppl that own S14 converting to S15 ? Thanx again, appreciate itRoss

Its really not that hard putting the kit on. Pretty much unbolt your stock parts and bolt on your new parts, the hard part is to make them look nice and smooth like they belong there. Most times the fenders, bumper and hood will fit light doodoo. It will have gaps here and there and the panels will be cracked because most of them are fiberglass. The reason most of us S14 owners don't do the conversion is A) because we dont like it and B)some of us think the S15 front end flows with the body lines of the S14

Hey there its me again, i was wondering. How important is the Core Support? I've read in a few websites that you dont absolutly NEED the core Support, YES it lines all the parts up better and smoother but cant you just drill holes for the S15 lights(seems to be the reason the core support is needed) and call it that ? or is it a total gamble weather you'll line up all the parts ? please what ever you know would be a help.Thanx again, Ross

Do it right or don't do it... expect to pay $2000-$2500 with paint

To sum it up...

Kouki front looks good on a S14 (95-98) The Kouki front also looks good on a S13 coupe. the S15 front does not look good with the S14... but it looks like pure sex on a S13 hatch...

I will let you in on a little secret if you are going with a conversion kit (which more than likely is what your looking at) your hood will be carbon fiber and your fenders and bumper will be fiberglass. The bumpers and fenders will have $hitty fitment, not using the core support will only throw off the fitment even more.My suggestion do it right: get real s15 fenders (metal ones) and mate the front half of the fender to the rear hald of your S14 fender. Then get a OEM metal S15 hood... blah blah blah. Pretty much get all Oem parts for your conversion it looks... 100 times better

Now now man, please dont be doing this "blah blah blah" stuff, I really appreciate your help, you sound like you know what i'm thinking about doing and thats good....Anyway, back to the matter at hand.So what you're saying is that i must cut both fenders in half and join the two ? obviously the S15 headlights half to the back end of the S14... now how do i do that ? spot welding or what ? do i need to take it to a professional bodyshop ? So with the OEM hood and fenders, what about the front bumper ?? that'll always be fiberglass, so what do you propose for that ? just a regular bodykit fitment or is it more complicated than that ? ( i dont like the OEM S15 Bumper, i want a bodykit)And you believe that the S14 is the best 240SX to do this change to? not the S13 ??Thanx alot for your help, i'll be looking forward to your reply.Cheers Rozwell

Ok so you're saying that the Kouki looks better on the 95-98 S14. I must agree with you there, i love the kouki front end, and now that you meantion it, i would seriously consider putting the Kouki front end on with a R33 Skyline replica kit on it, NOW THE BIG Q' How easy is it to change over to the Kouki ? easier or the same or harder than the S15 ???? because DAMN YOU< you got me thinking about that now.... Well i'll be looking forward to your reply. thanx for teh info !Cheers Rozwell

Kouki front end bolts right on to any 95-98 240DO NOT do skyline conversion why? (skylines are wider)it looks like *** once it is done. JDM Kouki front bumper looks nice or even stock U.S. front bumper with Nissan front lip looks nice too

Joining the two fenders will require a body shop to do unless you are bold enought to do it yourself and have done it many times beforeTHe s15 bumper its your choice, obviously you are into looks so get one that you like

Hey Jeff, No i wasent going to do the skyline conversion.. i just meant the R33 Skyline Replica bodykit. I like the looks, not to japanese, more European kinda.. i dunno, just me, I'll also look into the stock bumper with a front Lip on it, But i think i'm definately gonna go with the 97-98 S14 look. You say it bolts right onto a 95-96 240SX so thats what i'll do, then maybe in a couple years i'll look at the S15 again. Thanks for all the help. Keep me updated on your wicked Kouki.Cheers Ross

You're right, i dont own a 240, maybe if you read the whole topic you'd understand that i'm going to be buying one when i get back from traveling the world which will be in August. That's what i'm doing here, it's called researching, becuase i know what i want and i'm figureing out which is the best 240 to get so i can do the conversion. Oh and thanx for the cool attitude MAN! or is it, DUDE! by the way, what colour Remote Controlled S15 do you have? I bet you beat all your friends in RC drift nationals on your driveway eh? Do you put up cones and stuff or do you put up little RC tires for barriers ? you're cool man.fagget.

Can someone else who acctually knows what they are talking about please help me and maybe answer my Q about Fiber Glass or Metal S15 Fenders?thanx
