Post

my s13 currently have the s14 rlca installed yesterday,i drove it and so far it works fine.

i bought s13 rlca from a guy and found out that he gave me s14 rlca,i kno what rlca looks like but i dont kno the difference between s14 rlca to s13(they almost looks the same), so we're about to install it and it didnt fit (the mount part). after few minutes of figuring it out we decided to modify it (no choice). so we cut the mounting sides of lca with saw and grind it until it almost gets even with the rubber like thing, but the sway bar end link mount point of the s14 rlca is higher but it will mount/fit,its just the other side of my car still has s13 rlca so its not balance or from what i have read its slightly unevenly loaded, but no biggie tho. but it seems like alignment is not that good tho i dont kno if it just me cuz im thinking we did something to the suspension (we also replaced shocks&springs, cuz from what i read u need alignment when u done something to suspension) or its just im not used to the car anymore cuz i didnt drove it for long time.

after it was installed i searched the web about it and found this..

The Rear Lower Control arms are the same length. From the center of the inboard bushings to the center of the ball joint is 300mm on both the S13 and S14.

The S13 and S14 RLCA also use the same ball joint and are interchangeable.

All dimensions between S13 and S14 RLCA are the same except the swaybar endlink mount point. The S14 mounting point is 20mm higher (towards the top of the vehicle) than the S13. With an S13 RLCA on one side and an S14 RLCA on the other the rear swaybar will be slightly unevenly loaded but not enough to cause major concern.

The S14 RLCA also has some additional gusseting on the underside to make it slightly stiffer than the S13 part.

For a quick replacement the S13 RLCA will 'bolt on' to the S14 without any major issues. However, it would be best to match both sides with either S13 or S14 control arms due to the difference in swaybar endlink mounting height.

I have just measured this for myself a minute ago so all measurements are accurate.

The FLCAs are different lengths and have different ball joints that do not interchange (you have to replace the ball joint to match the model the upright came from).
