Did anyone else get their Renova cooling panel recently? I just got mine in the mail today and it is sweet! Weighing in at only 5 pounds and made to direct airflow to the radiator, this thing is awesome! However, I am having some fitment issues. If anyone else has this piece or knows how to install it I would appreciate the help. The problem I am having is if I get all of the screws to line up with the holes on the back side of the panel, the front side will stick up about an inch from the front grill. Maybe I am missing something simple but I don't want to do any damage to the panel trying to install it. Below are some pics to look at. The first is the cooling panel, the second is a close-up of the carbon weave. The third pic is an even CLOSER picture of the weave. And finally, the fourth picture is a cool picture of the panel showing the mirror-like finish. Once again any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Alex.

The cooling panel just got made and sent out to Phase 2. I pre-ordered the cooling panel on Sept 28 and just got it today. The price is $179 and you can purchase it through Phase 2 Motortrend. It is too dark to take pics tonight, I will take them tomorrow. Thanks, Alex.

Well, that is what the packing weight was, I haven't had a chance to weight just the acutal piece. It is light though, I just wish I could get it to fit.

Hey Bomex, do you know any contact information of the person that owns that Kouki? I would like to get in touch with them and see how they got it to fit. Thanks, Alex.

compare that price to Garage Defend which is over 300. Price will be lower than 179, depending on how many people are buying.

Will the S13 one work with an aftermarket nose and carbon fiber hood?

It has been awhile since my original post and maybe another Kouki S14 has gotten a Renova cooling panel. If so, how did you get it to fit as I am still having issues.

Have you tried calling REnova yourself? They had one on their kouki s14 they just sold.

FYI they already have the 180sx cooling panel as well

Hey guys, the white kouki above w/ the panel is mine. I got mine for $169 shipped when it was just released.

Here's my write-up of the install, it wasn't truly plug-n-play: http://www.zilvia.net/f/showth...enova

Update: I just came in from TRYING to install this cooling panel in my Kouki. All I can say is DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! First, I tried easing the panel into the grill and the general area. There was NO way it was going to fit without cutting something. Secondly, I cut the plastic pieces of the grill that were preventing the panel from sliding in to place. Even after cutting the 5 pieces the panel wouldn't fit. I really didn't want to cut the panel, but... I couldn't see any other way for it to fit. I cut roughly 2mm off the bottom and the sides. I also had to cut out around the hood rubber bumpers. Even after all the cutting the panel wouldn't fit without some force and then the clear coat on the carbon fiber started cracking in certain spots and so I am left with a $170 carbon fiber paper-weight because Renova couldn't take the time to measure and test-fit this product AT ALL! I STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THE RENOVA CARBON FIBRE COOLING PANELS. At least the Kouki model, maybe the company went crazy and actually test-fit the other models but I wouldn't bet money on it. Renova gets two thumbs down in my book.

Is it POSSIBLE that you got say... a Zenki cooling panel? You should have called them before cutting into it. By doing that you screwed yourself.
