A lot. RB25 would be a better route to go.

Unless you want to redesign the unibody of your car to fit the drivetrain and mount the g sensors and hydraulics to run the 4WD you can hang that idea up.

what! who told you that? better recheck that.... you are not going to build a 1000 hp rb26...

both rb25 and rb26 can do 600 easy.. rb25 is cheaper.
Me wrote:rb25 can take a beating and suffer the same weaknesses. Weak piston ring lands. And once pushed to the limit both begin to lose a rod bolt. But, 400 to 500 hp rb25 are very common.

Compare stock verse stock the only thing the bottom ends have different is a beefier rod on the rb26. But, they still suffer rod failure just like rb25s. When you look at it, both have the same 2 bolt cross areas being stressed. Never seen a ROD failure on either motors or any. But I have seen many rod BOLT failures.

in order weakness is:pistons>rods bolts>valves

rb25 will get you to your goals much cheaper, they are practically the same motor. Cept the rb26 has the hysteria behind it.

not really. My buddy had a 600hp RB26 in his 180, no cage, no tower bar. All it did was generate tire spin.

does that slip differential come with the RB25? and if it does, does it not let the car drift at all?

You can drift anything regardless of the diff, it's just easier and more predictable with an LSD. If I can slide a heavy Skyline with 120hp L20 and an open diff, you can slide anything with an RB25-26 If you have a VLSD in the car already, it would be adequate.
