Hey fellas, my RB26 isn't pulling hard for some reason. It feels like its getting held back and it feels like a high 13 second car instead it should be feeling like a mid 12 second car on its stock boost. Any help would be appreciated.

That's pretty vague of a description/measurement. Start by checking base timing, and check for any boost/vac leaks.

Theres no boost leaks. Boost pressure stays up and I haven't found any vac leaks. Timing is correct as well.

You can't tell if there are boost leaks simply because your boost stays up, or by looking at the pipes.

You make a simple boost leak checker something like this:http://www.mirage-performance.....html

Did you actually set the base timing correctly? You are SURE it is correct?

There are tons of things which could theoretically make the car slow. Others off the top of my head I can think of:Incorrect fuel pressure. Do you have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, or not have the vac line attached?Bad tuning. Any piggybacks or aftermarket roms in there? Different injectors?Low compression. Speaks for itself, although it would have to be pretty damn low to feel *that* slow.

Ok when you say base timing do you mean like the cams lined up where they're suppose to be at? Then yes those are lined up correctly and im sure.

My car is bone stock. No aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, No rom tune, Stock ECU, Stock injectors. I will compression test it tomorrow but highly doubt thats the problem. The revs are very smooth but its just getting held back alittle.

If you got AIM or yahoo hit me up. Aim is supra1gG and yahoo is supra1rd.

Definately run the boost leak check. It only costs a few bucks to make one at home depot and probably takes maybe an hour or so to check. If you have the stock twins you will want to cap one of the turbos and pressurize from only one.

As for the timing. I was wondering if it was mechanically timed correctly at the CAMs and crank and also more importantly if you have the base timing (i.e. the CAS) set correctly. Do a search on here for how to set base timing on the RB. If you haven't set base timing that could most definately contribute to a loss in power.

I'll check into that boost leak tester to see whats up with that and ill look into the base timing also. Thanks man.
