I just put an RB25DET into my Red S14 240SX... I have 2 broken piston rings! I am going to pull it out and rebuild it...

But I cant find bearings/pistons/rings/torque-clearance specs anywhere for it. Help?

Look for the RB25 FSM. It has all the specs you need. Sorry about your motor. Sure looks shiney though...

And that.. is the hard part.

Ask around (sponsors and other shops), search the forums, search the australian forums, make contacts in other countries.. go from there.

g/l.

I would contact JonPowell. He has a source or two out of counrty and has been known to help source out parts for NICO Club members.

Even though the parts may take some time to get to you, he is VERY dependable and will NOT let you down.

Viva Jon Powell......

from my experiences, it is MUCH easier to find out the part number yourself (via FAST but thats a different story), then contact whoever it may be: JP, rbmotoring, mck (i have dealt personally with JP and rb, both good experiences) and give them the PART number so there is no confusion as to what part you are getting.

also, before contacting them, do a search for the PART number on the US system. there is a chance that it is a redundant part in the US system on other nissans. I highly doubt very specialized parts like engine internals will crossover, but its worth a shot.

Well, since its so hard to get parts for it, Im sick of letting the car sit... I am pulling the RB25 and installing an SR20DET... And probably parting out the good parts of the RB25 to recoupe some of the money invested.

It's better this way. Give it up go with the SR20DET and all will be good. Darwin thins the heard a little so only the strongest will survive.
