Since this seems to be very guarded info, if anybody doesn't feel like posting something in here but would like to help please PM, AIM or E-mail meAIM = Dubmaster TEmail = [email protected]

1. My main question is: i know i'm supposed to repin the RB white plug to match the S14 F3 plug. Does this mean i completely remove the harness from the ECU and F3 plug going to the engine part of the KA harness and replace it with the RB's ECU and whiteplug to engine harness. I noticed the wipers are on that KA harness so are they the same plug and pinout as the plug on the Rb thats in the same position.

2. One other thing i didn't quite understand, the oil pressure wires(2 of them one i think is green and the other i think is blue) i removed them from the RB lower harness. Do they go straight to the cluster or do they go to the ECU then cluster. And just to double check, the knock sensor plug connects to another plug on the engine harness right?

3. The plug by the firewall next to heater hoses and fuel filter that connects the lower harness to the upper harness, does that just get replaced by a similar plug from the RB harness or do i need to splice wires

i also just noticed that i don't have a boost control valve(solenoid?). From what i read, i don't necessarily have to have it.

Thanks for the help.

The knock sensor plug connects to the upper engine harness in the front of the intake manifold near where the injectors plug in.

that's where i have them plugged, Thanks Jon.

that takes care of #2BTW are you actually doing the 280z RB26 swap right now or are you collecting parts for the swap. that sounds like its going to be a monster

I am collecting the parts, I am going to be fixing the body of the car up first, then after that is all done, testfitting all the parts, repainting the car complete and then reinstalling everything. I am looking at a Haltech ECU now, used of course. I am sure that sometime near the end of the 2005 season the car should be drivable....probably just in time to be put away for the winter.

ill take #1

you have 2 ways to do it, the non-ghetto way. wich would be pulling the individual wires off of the F3 plug on the skyline side, then repinning them into the KA F3 plug (from the harness) that way when it plugs into the dash harness (m63 plug i belive) it will match like the stock KA harness.

the ghetto way is to just cut the wires you are gonna use (speed, tach, ignition, etc) and wire them around the plug.

is there a pinout for the RB white plug(F3?) somewhere? I can figure out the wires that are connected to the ECU the rest i guess i would have to trace from each plug.

unforutionatley no, there is no publically available RB F3 plug pinout. you can trace them if you have time and a multimeter. its really not hard once you get into a rythm.

Damn, that's what i was afraid of. Thanks Kamin.

Jon Powell mentioned that the upper harness connects to the lower harness up front by the intake manifold. I'd have to look at the harness tomorrow but i don't think i have any extra plugs on the upper harness in that area. I have a couple on the wires that have the MAF plug, then one 2 wire plug next to the Brown Box. I'll go and check tomorrow to make sure but is it the same plug as the one that connected the KA upper and lower harnesses, i mean does the plug just go in or am i splicing wires.

I almost wish i had an S13:)

are you talking about the plug with the wires coming from the Knock sensors. I have that one plugged in but i thought there was another connection besides that one.

i feel like i'm on the home-stretch, a very long home-stretch

what did you do about the wipers, to minimize the wires i have to search for i think i'll just separate them from the KA harness and reuse the the plugs instead of trying to find them on the RB harness
