I believe that is a KA fan clutch with 10MM spacers to keep the fan from hitting another pulley. I think the McKinney mounts were used also.

You MUST use the fan shrould to make the manual fan work correctly there designed to work together and leaving the shrould offf is asking for trouble down the road.....

i'm affraid it will hit the radiator on hard turns or launch

I was gonna say, w/o that shroud, it's going to pull air in from where there is the least resistance, like the sides of the radiator. It'll help, but be careful.

im gonna repeat what mack said, you MUST use a fan shroud, if you dont the mechanical fan will not pull any air through the radiator.
