i just got a 95 240sx se model and i was wondering how to use the alarm system, i see the little red thing flashing but i dunno what i need to make it work. also is there any known problems that happen to the moonroofs?

the alarm should automatically arm when you have the doors locked and closed. if its working right, the alarm light should blink slowly, every 20seconds or so. if something isnt working right the light will blink faster. Every few seconds or less. Did you get a remote with your car? If you car has an alarm, you also have keyless entry. I didnt get a remote with my car and had to fork out a rediculous amount of money at the dealership for one.

no i didnt... how much money when i was in the car it was blinking pretty fast

i think i paid 60-70 dollars for the remote. then they wanted another 40 to program it. I said no thanks, my service manual tells me how to do it for free.

if the light is blinking fast, it means a sensor or something is not functioning right. that happened to my car after I took it in to get the drivers side door lock replaced. hasnt worked right since, and i've been too broke/lazy to take it back for the dealership to look at.

it shouldnt, the entry/security system is seperate from any engine control systems.I'll just post the procedure later for programming the keyless entry. it's not hard, and I don't have a scanner or digicam at the moment.

hey this is irrelevent to the subject but you and I have the same car color bronze MFP. Do you happen to know the name of the color ( I plan on getting my car repainted soon)

According to courtesyparts.com, the paint code is AL0 and the color is called Ruby Pearl. I need to get my car repainted too

The factory alarm arms itself after 30sec once you lock and close the doors. If you open the doors/hood/trunk without unlocking the door with the key (or remote) a siren sounds and the lights flash. I also had to fork out about $80 to get a remote but they programmed it for free.

FOB is $51. My s14 didn't come with one either. You can do a search for the reprogramming instructions. That's where I found them.http://www.trademotion.com/par...=3638

I was going to buy the factory alarm led...it's about $75 though...

Just drilled my existing blank for the led at that price.
