In may of 2010 i crashed my 1996 240sx into the back of a moving truck, it's been 6 months now and the car is almost complete due to the fact i have limited budget and im 18, all it needs is a dash and a paint job so here we go from the begining....

Image
My 240 when I pretty much first got it, all i did was put an intake and paint the rims..

Yeah Moto it came a long way but thanks bro,.Yeah all of my parts were brand new from nissan, but i had orderd it from a place in california that is a performance/authorized nissan dealer so the prices were far cheaper the website is mynismo.com. That suspension is called STD Suspension not sure if you heard of them yet but they are upcoming and are VERY GOOD, my brother has a shop in Toronto, Ca and he carries them but they are going be real big soon they are out perfoming tien and eibach by far for way cheaper you can check them out at Stdsuspension.com. The Radiator and A/c Condensor I got from a local radiator shop it cost me like 300 for both. And the next thing i do is paint, that's wat im saving up for at the moment!

Well I'm planning on painting it the same blue emerald,...but I'm going to add about 4-5 clearcoat's for a deeper color, a little custom show car finish look.

Yes bro belive me they are amazing and im not just saying that,..everyone that has drivin in my car tell me they don't even feel like their slammed! I'm running the R3 setup which is a Full- Race/ Time- attack/ Drift Suspension those MSRP for around $1750 but it has adjustable camber plates on the top and it's on a pillow ball mout. A very nice affordable setup it the R1, perfect for daily/drift/drag whatever they will run you about $1200 shipped and thats quality suspension. Another feature they offer on their suspension is that you can raise and lower the car by sliding up or down the whole strut that way you can keep your spring stiffness/softness without decompressing the spring on the coilover. The R1 and R3 both also have adjustable dampening for soft/stiffness. But the R1's dont have the camber plate or the pillow ball mount like the R3's, But most people rock the R1's because its affordable and performes very well for the price!

Here's the R1 link http://www.stdsuspension.com/suspension_r1.html

And here's the R3 link (which is what i have on my car) http://www.stdsuspension.com/suspension_r3.html

That should answer some questions for you...

Thanks for the info! Do you know the spring rates on the R1 and R3? And you said you purchased them from a local friend or something, or did you purchase from the manufacturer?

No the spring rates you set yourself depending on the ride quality you look for, i just have my spring snug so it doesnt wobble up or down, I bought them from my brother who is one of the biggest distributers in Ontario, Canada he has a shop there he gets them straight from the manufacture because he knows the owner of the company if you are intrested you can contact him and he can have it shipped to you, here's the website of my brothers shop and there's a number that you can call to speak or e-mail with him http://www.kjohn.ca/
