S14 Power Steering delete question

Hey Ladies and Gents,
I just have a quick question, I put my SR in my s14, and after putting it in i had nothing but problems with my PS pump, I got my SR out of a 4 wheel steering 180sx, and at the time couldn't find replacement gasket kits for the pump, and a 4 wheel steer pump is hard to find and pricy... I couldn't fit a 2 wheel steer pump because the bracket holes are completely different, so i decided to pull the pump, bracket, lines and reservoir and left fluid in my rack, now I have been driving it for a year now like this, and had Zero problems, just curious if i will run into anything in the future, as i do drive my car easy daily but hard on track days once a month... any input would be appreciated! thanks in advance!

You should be perfectly fine if you find the stuff to switch back. I ran my rack and pinion OPEN for like 6 years then put power steering back in it. Was completely fine for about 2 years and just now my rack won't hold fluid anymore so I just pulled the belt. Not bad for a 24 year old rack. Lol
