aight what do you guys think about BMW 325i? there's one for sale down here and I am thinking about getting it, it's a stick so a major plus and looks like in a good condition...but I am still in love with s14...even though I can't find a good one around here...so should I wait for a while and find a deal on an s14 or should go ahead and get 325i?

Hmmm.

I've driven a BMW (my mom's 2001 330ci *drool*) and I know for a FACT my next car will be a BMW of some sort. They drive better than any car I've ever driven, or driven in, and they are very quick cars.

I'm not too keen on the pre 2K model body styles, that's why I plan to by a 2k or 2k1 when i'm in my early 20s (i'm 18 now).

Its also all about what you plan to do w/ the car. A s14 lowered w/ a classy body kit and a wing will look better than the 95 Beemer. If you're in it for speed, I'd go for the BMW.

What year is the 325i. 325i's are sweet, if its not to old and is in good condition,a nice color with resonable mileage it would be worth it. There pretty quick stock but I don't think they have the aftermarket like the 240. Of course that may not be your thing. Just I wouldn't settle for a bmw 315ti (i think there called)anyways i know someone who had one and it was god awful slow:)

Of course I couldn't imagen giving up my 5 speed 98 240 now that I have it, its just to badass:ylsuper

Go with the s14, if for no other reason than they're much less expensive to repair.A friend of mine drives a '95 325, he's planning on selling to get an s14 and some manner of motor swap.

Nick [/quote]I was looking at a 1992 BMW 325i last year with a five speed. The car is not fast, it runs a 15.9 stock. There is an aftermarket but nothing like the 240. The car does look good but not M3 good. You could get the M3 ground effects and graphics but then youd be one of those poser M3s who get smoked by civics. S14 with an SR20DET and ground effects and mildly modify it and you'll .:uzi the doors of a real M3!:ylsuper

I'm quite unaware of BMW reliability, so would 114k be a lot for that car?? The old 3 series (M3 aside of course) are very sluggish, with something like 175hp (don't quote me). Also parts are much more expensive, and in my opinion the old body style has nothing on the new 3 series...I'd kill for a 330Xi. Get the S14, thats my opinion, you can get one with a lot less miles for the same price. You also posted stuff about the mods, you gotta watch, the old owner may have beat on the car...and as me and my friends say...never buy other people's s***.

BMW reliability is awesome. they are very well made cars. i would rather have my 240 cause of the aftermarket and the performance, but i know that alot of beemers will smoke me. well, i would definately give up my baby for an m3 (*drool*)

BMWs are very well engineered cars, and I too love the M3 and have driven many. You can go really fast, but the suspension makes it seem like your on rails. But the downfall to BMWs are that their parts cost a lot of money, and if you get one with some milage you should be prepared to have some cash handy for parts. Like I said earlier get the S14, then when you can afford a nice BMW with low miles you'll be set.
