S14 not starting up

when i turn the key the fuel pump works, lights come on, everything is fine, but when i switch it to start the car, everything goes off and I hear ONE click. i also heard a fuse blow in the drivers kick panel,

ive also got an alarm which doesnt seem to be connecting to the car anymore and it was a few minutes ago. is this my battery? or is it a dead starter? how hard is it replace the starter?

Please post more info. what fuse is blown? Check them and let me know what fuse (location ie kick panel, left side 4th down). Also check the battery voltage if you can.

sounds like a bad battery but the blown fuse is throwing me off...what fuse is blown?

That sound i heard was my immobilizer locking, because I checked the fuses and the starter one was fine. I reset my alarm and she fired up right away. I hit a big pothole today and I guess it effected my alarm somehow...have some shady wiring as far as the alarm goes lol
