You need the factory mounts that bolt to the block. Then those meet with the Mckinney mounts. The long part goes down the crossmember where you drill a hole and bolt it down so the mount won't move forward.

Thank you very much. That helps. Im really suprised Mckinney doesnt give out good detailed instructions when buying these mounts. At least some pictures of them installed to the crossmember.

And this is why this question comes up every couple months. People ask, find out, and never update their threads with the answer or solution.

Kind of takes the point out of being able to use the search function on a site like this.

None of us should have to go on the forums to find answers to install product parts. The company should take it upon themselves to make a set of instructions and have them available to download on there site or send them out with each product thats ordered. Im not talking bad about Mckinney at all. The guys there do great work and the customer support is great. Im just the kinda person who likes to buy something and be able to put the stuff in without any questions.

I got my "box-o-mounts" from Mckinney too. No instructions, no left or right. No paperwork. No part numbers. I ended up figuring out I had two R/H mounts sent to me. The only place I could go and search was here and HybridZ. I ended up sending Mac a picture and he immediatly sent the missing mount. They do have good service.

Maybe we should post a topic on our respective mounts to maybe help the next guy out.

Thats what i ended up doing too. Mack emailed me a day later with pics of how there installed. There customer support is awesome, my only gripe is that i needed to contact someone on how they get installed. Its all good now. Im installing them tomorrow and everything should go well.

Try posting up those pics so we can have a look. I'm needing instructions too. Thanks
