s14 makes bad sound

My 240 makes this sound, like theres peaces of metal flying around in a drum. I've had 2 different size wheels in the back, one 16 and one 15 because of lack of funds. I'm getting new rims and tires, I was thinking is was the differential. But I'm no master mechanic.

first off where's it coming from? if its from the motor its probably your timing chain, having same issue right now. if it is SEARCH, theres a write up on how to change it.

Based on sound description, I'd guess timing chain rattle too. Did you do a walkaround? Is the sound coming from the front or rear? Does it happen all the time or only when moving? How bout in neutral?

I'ts in the back, only when moving, only when accelerating or decelerating.It's getting worse, by the day. I'm taking it to a mechanic tomorrow, to tell me whats wrong, and I'll try to fix it myself and I'll write whats wrong. I have some chain rattle, but I heard thats very common and noting to worry about. but It wouldn't be the first time I listened to stupid people. I'm pretty sure its the diff thought.

I just noticed that my diff is somewhat wet in oil and it looks like it;s been like that for a while.
