seriously? I'll run down to the paint shop right now and have me mix me a batch and then have clear lamin-X over it to keep the rock chips off

Wait, what are we trading again? Hoods? LOL. I doubt u would want my hood after you see it in person, theres no scratches on it but just some spots where the clearcoat is fading because of the sun. (Nothing some elbow grease and some polish cant get rid of) Besides I kinda like my hood, its the only thing that makes my car different from Dittoz.

Damn that's looks very nice, considering how simple it looks. Nice work!

Kind of wonder what a Zenki would look like?

I made a template for a zenki one after I saw what you did awhile back. Don't have it right now because it is on my sisters computer and she moved out. It is made on CAD. I will give her a call and see if she can email me a screen shot or whatever and post it up.

Edit: ok she is gonna email it to me in a PDF form or something. There was one little tweak I needed to do but I cant remember what it was.

Yea it isn't that much different. I only have a paper model I made. I will go take a picture of it and post up the PDF. Also I made mine go as far back as possible so there is a little cut out for the hood latch.

Next post will have pic, and PDF (or screen shot of the PDF)

In the pictures keep in mind that that is a trial piece I made out of paper. It sticks out a little to far in the middle.

The CAD drawing. The middle measurement of 4 1/2" should be more like 4 1/4" or perhaps a little less.

I've seen spooled's car at a couple of meets and his grill is nice and subtle, I barely notice that it's there.

I got bored and decided to make a test one out of metal. I don't have very good tools for it and I never made anything out of metal before so isn't that good but it is ok. I wish I had some air powered sheers. I am also trimming it to fit nice and all that good stuff. When I finish I will post it up.

Ok, so I mounted my test grill today. I had to do a lot of grinding and shaping on this bad boy. Looks really good I think, just need to work out a couple things then paint it. Once I paint it I will snap a picture. Then possibly make my own thread. I like to call it a Spooled Grill (since it was his idea in the first place).

After that I might make one more with better measurements.
