........I had a 93 s13 with a blown motor so I took the motor from my now sr'd s14 and dropped it in..I swapped the intake manifold and the distributor and tried starting the car. It cranks but won't start.I checked timming, spark, fuel, and I have tried advancing...even retarding the timing still no luck. I am still running the s13 ecu ,could that be the problem ?? I am in Va. Beach is there anyone in the local area that can maybe lend a hand ...I have been looking at this thing for so long that I think I'm seeing doulbe ,maybe a fresh pair of eyes can see some simple little thing that I am over looking ! Thanks in advanced !![/

are you still using all of the sensors from your original engine? I assume you mean that you're using the distributor from your original engine as well.

You said you checked spark and fuel... are you getting them?

Make sure everything is plugged in right and that the distributor isn't 180 degrees off.

well i did the same swap but i swapped the ecu also.the s14 is OBD2 i believe, and i think the 93 is OBD1,so the fact that ur using the 93 ecu could be the problem.also when mine wouldnt start,i had or 2 grounds that werent bolted down.so just make sure all ur grounds r bolted down, and that the ECU is grounded also.

the ecu should not be the problem as he swaped the s13 intake manifold. Check for spark, signal to the injectors. You didnt hook up the fuel lines in the wrong spot did you? check the distributor make shure you timed it correctly and its not 180 off. Make shure you pluged everything back in. I had a 91 240 with a 95 ka that i left all the 95 intake on and it still worked fine.
