s14 ka swap to s13 ka

my friends s13 motor went its a 93 obd 1 dual cam i took out my dual cam out of my 95 s14 obd 2 ... i took of his intake, exhaust manifolds and distributer and put them on my motor and put it in his car. the problem that im having is a no start. i have fuel, spark and air, i have went over every connector and all vacuum lines. i need some help.?? Thanks

this should be in the KA section.

did you use the s14 ECU?

no i still have the s13 ecu the red light lights up when i try to start it .. im still new to this site next time ill go to the ka section .... but wouldn't the s14 ecu be set up for obd 2 ? or does that not matter?

distributor is 180 degrees possibly. check ignition timing again.

ill check again but i marked it on both motors before i took ether off and put them back on the same way but ill try it again thanks

you should be using an s14 ecu for that, i believe.

If your going to use the S13's intake manifold and distributor on your S14 engine Your going to need the S13s Ecu and harness to make it work.

i retimed it now the timind is dead on. i found that if i back prob the injectors with a test light and manualy make them fire and then crank it over it will start and run for like 10 sec and then stall out.. now i think it could be one of two things ether th ecu or the crank angle sensor thats if this motor has one not sure need some ideas?? thanks

the crank angle sensor is one of the uses of the distributor.

so youre using the s14 motor, but s13 intake/exhaust manifolds and dizzy from his car.

are you using the s13 wiring harness and ecu?

yea i finally got it running it was the timing i ended up having it 180 out and i was timing it to cylinder 2 but that was it. it runs great now thanks for everyones help i have been sitting on this car for almost 2 weeks chasing my tail it feels good to get rid or it lol thanks again everyone!!
