Hi guys.I have that s14 we got out a ditch and I've been fighting with it.Ever since we replaced the motor it's been VERY much more powerful, but idles like Micheal J Fox off the meds, takes a long while to start and smells pig rich from the exhaust. I've search a few forums, but I can't seem to find any good ideas.

It's timed to stock spec, has a few new sensors ( O2,CTS,CPS,)New plugs but no other ignition partsNo current codesIt was a late 95 (obdII) motor, but the car is OBDI, so I swapped the intakes (new gaskets).

Vacuum leak? EGR or IACV? I'm not coming up with much.Any help would be much appreciated.

only a few things i can think of for you to look into..

#1.) fpr...fuel pressure regulator.

#2.) fuel injectors..

#3) Idle adjustment/airfilter

#4) timing.

#5) coil/plug wires/cap/rotor

thats about all that would cause that...poke around those area's then get back to us with what ya find..

I haven't gotten back to the car yet, but I think this weekend I'm doing the subframe bushings, so I should have time to run a few tests then.
