well i just installed my power folding mirrors on my 98 s14 i used the usdm bases and swapped over the jdm mirrors over to the usdm bases, well when i tested em out the drivers side mirror did not fold as close as the passenger side. is this the down fall of having the p/f mirrors on the usdm bases or what?

Yup. I just had the same issue. So I swapped back to the jdm driver's side base and the mirror folds in almost as far as the passenger side now. As long as you use the usdm glass you will be fine as far as visibility goes.

but swapping back over the jdm base on the drivers side wouldnt that cause the mirror glass not ajdustable far out to see properly out of. can you post pics of your drivers side folded in on your s14?

4 hours give or take...that is because I am anal and didn't ghetto rig it. I installed the switch and it's harness first and then ran the extra wires to each door. I fished the wires through the rubber tubes on each door and ran them to the mirrors. Normally I don't do mods like this but I got the mirrors/switch for almost nothing from a friend. I figured why not.

I should add that my front fenders were off the car when I did this because of some paint work I was having done. It is a huge pita with the fenders still on the car.

I owe you an apology. I never got around to doing those pictures. I did end up having to swap the driver's side base back to the usdm one because of visibility issues. So yeah, you're right about that. Sorry man.
