S14 Japanese Conversion

Everyone. I am about to purchase an S14 Front Clip online. This clip is of course from Japan. My question here is, is it usually illegal to swap a US automobile over to right hand drive? I figure since I will have all the stuff, I could go for it.

RHD doesnt make it illegal. Ive seen plenty of RHD Rolls and Mini on the road. Not to mention there are a number of Skylines and Silvias running around

Yes. But those cars were probably imported into the United States are RHD Vehicles. This is a conversion from a LHD to a RHD vehicle. I am wondering if anyone knows if it is illegal to swap a standard US LHD to RHD.

there was a guy who posted pics and a short writeup of how he did it. Started with a clip and S13, added a bunch of tools, time, and money, and volia... RHD!But you have to eat at Checkers/Rallys since they have drive thrus designed just for RHD cars.

you can pretty much do anything to your car as long as it doesnt affect emissions.
