I have come to the conclusion after visiting the junkyard that a s14 96 se 5lug and 95-96 j30 sub frame are identical, except for the differential and... calipers?.

im really interested in finding out if a s14 sub frame would work on a s13, the part numbers are really close 55401 and 55400 im not sure the bolts that are part of the uni body will line up with the holes in the bushings of the sub frame though. but i imagine they would. If this could work an owner of a s13 could swap a out his old sub frame for a 95-96 j30 sub frame, gaining a; 5lug rear end, larger rear rotors and calipers, and a vlsd differential.

simply buying some used 5 lug front hub conversions or going even further with the j30 stuff could modify some front hubs to work on a s13 then you could swap of the other front rotors, calipers and the booster.

This to me seems like the cheapest and fastest way to knock out some of the most popular upgrades ppl want do on the s13's, instead of buying each piece at a time. hub conversions alone cost a tone of money and break the bank for a while, the entire rear assembly from a junk yard off of a j30 couldn't cost anymore than 300 dollars. and like i said your getting three in one there. what do you guys think?

and don't come in here telling me to use the search button I HAVE and there's next to nothing about this, Specifically, about swapping the sub frames in between two cars, i only found one other person on Google that has done this with a s14 and s13 sub frame which he made work.

I have noticed how similar the J30 / S14 subframes look, but I don't know about fitting them into the S13. Just seeing how much taller the rear shocks are makes me think it may be a lot different.

But I wouldn't be shocked if you could put a J30 sub into a S14. But when all you need is Z32 NA hubs why?

j30's are easier to come by, the na z32 hubs only work for the back, and that puts you in the same situation with piecing it all together one by one. the guy that made the s14 sub fit into the s13 had to buy adjustable control arms and shorten them so the car wouldn't end up having negative camber because of the tall shocks, or sum thing like that

Want to make it useful and meaningful... Put an aluminum Z33 subframe into an S13.

Ridiculously unlikely... the Q45 is more similar and still isn't even close.
