I wanted to test the waters before I start mass producing the required pieces to properly install a s14/z32/j30 diff into a s13 240sx.

For those that have just installed it without a conversion kit you should read through and see why this is necessary for trouble free operation.

To start off the s14/z32/j30 diff uses a different housing. The front case mounts up differently that a s13 240sx. The s13 is solidly mounted to the subframe. The back cover is then held in place by 4 bolts. There is no room more movement on a s13 diff. On a s14/z32/j30 diff there is plenty of room for movement. The front mounts are dampened via bushings. The rear uses two larger bolts that are also dampened by bushings. When a person usually puts a s14/j30/z32 diff in their car they used the front rubber mounts and the original s13 rear cover. This will bolt up this way but it can be damaging and dangerous. The front is allowed to move around while the rear is solidly mounted. The rear cover is made of aluminum and will fracture over time!

The kit is aluminum spacers that eliminate the use of bushings to solidly mount the diff to the s13 subframe. The kit would be made up of 6 pieces. For me to start making these in mass quantities I need to know how many people need this kit and will pay the $75 a kit cost. I am doing this for the whole 240sx community. There is no product like this currently available!

So let me know! I need to know if I should make this available to the public.

so you want to sell a kit that solidly mounts the diff to the subframe? I know im a newbie but couldnt you use some bolts and a bunch of washers to accomplish the same thing as your aluminum spacers? And can someone provide a link to the post/article on FA that has this info.

Here is the link.

Also if you use washers you have a chancde of having more problems than using rubber bushings. The hole in the front of the diff mounts is much larger than the bolt.
