Well, after 4 or 5 days over at Nissan only to be told what I already knew (valves are bent), I had my S14 towed home yesterday. I'm just going to remove the head and inspect parts myself. They wanted to charge me $300-400 in labor to do so, and I wasn't up for that, especially since I'm going to be replacing anything that needs it, myself.

So, $140 later (dealership/tow fees), the car is back in my yard. Yesterday I took the cams out and removed the heat shield over the exhaust manifold. I only had an hour before work and felt as though I should at least do something. ;)

This morning will be spent dismanteling the car further. The service manager at Nissan seemed pretty confident that my pistons and cylinder walls should be fine. He thinks I can get away with just replacing the valves, which is what I'm hoping is the case. I have an Altima engine from which I could take valves, so if all I have to do is that, my car should be back up and running within a week. I hope. I still need to source another '91 exhaust cam, but other than that....

So, that's the update on my car, in case anyone was wondering.

Oh, and my plans for the 240 are now as follows.... Once it's back up and running again, I'll buy a header for it as soon as I can afford one, and then I'll be done with the car.

I/H/E/cams/Eibachs will make for a lovely daily driver to compliment the 10th Anniversary RX-7 TurboII that I'll be bringing home soon. ;)

Keep us updated! Send some pics of the FC our way once you get it. I've always liked the Turbo II's.

Once we close on our house, August 27th, I'll be putting my S13 under the knife for a major (and much needed) overhaul. Brakes, suspension, engine, interior, the whole nine. I can't wait, I wish I could get to work on it right now. Finally I'll have a garage.

It really depends on how much I have left after closing.

My budget is roughly like this:SPL T/C rods...$140Endless Front/Rear pads...$350AGX...$370Eibach P/K...$180 (thanx AZ)Timing chain kit....$400Wangan wing....$400Type X lights...$500B&M short shifta...$200Mag Watanabe F8....$800++Yoko's for F8's....$600Redline MTL...$20Castrol LMA...$20

etc. I could go on for a while here. Figure at least $2-3k if I have it. My priorities are chain, suspension, and brakes, in that order. The rest is all whim. I'll just have to wait until 8/27 and see. I will have a garage, so I don't mind a fall project...hee hee...:rockon

My friend just got a 10th Anniversary TurboII. The emblem is pretty gangster and the car is really cool. It's got a bunch of special features, like washer nozzles for the flip-up headlights.
