just got my car back from the bodyshop and it looks great. unfortunately, i don't have pictures of it...yet (sorry for the suspense :P). they did an overall great job - there are some things they still need to fix - but they are minor.

when i aqcuired the car, it had a smashed passenger door and dented rear quarter panel. and like most s14's i see, the front lip was scraped up (basically white) and the front bumper, though an oem replacement from a previous bumper mishap, was unpainted. earlier this year, the car, already not in great condition externally, was a vicitim of a parking lot hit while parked. fortunately, the lady who hit it stuck around and was able to get the damages related to that accident covered under her insurance company.

in addition, i was able to find a board member here who had a spare s14 se tachometer. the original one failed and hence needed to be replaced. it works like a charm.

so all in all, the car is almost back to stock nissan specs. i still have to find one more wheel center cap for the 16" se wheels (any reading this with a spare? ) to pretty much finish it all off.

i'm hoping to borrow a camera soon and show some pictures as i am quite proud of the car. i'm a "honda" guy, but as most people might know, if you're a car guy, it doesn't matter what kind of car it is...if it's nice and fun, end of story.

Yup, all s14's have quarter panel dents, mine got there mysteriously...

As for the wheels, pull off the caps and get them powdercoated black. They look really nice for what it costs to do.
