s14 into an 89

i just wanted to see if it will be worth my time to make an s14 fit into an 89. i can get one cheap

is it that much harder.

i assume it bolts right in.

s14 what into a 89? KA or SR engine? Or do you mean the whole car, I would think that would be pretty hard:)

But, If you are talking engines. It would bolt in. There will be some wiring issuse and ac lines and other things like intake would need alittle work, as well as a few other things(not sure thats all). Its not impossible.

yes an S14 sr20det into a 1989 240 sx.im aware of the ac problems and the wiring.i just wasnt sure if anything else was insanely hard.

I am also wondering the same thing, my 89 240 has 214 thousand miles so I think it will go out on me any day now I was thinking of a stock s14 to be cheap but if I can get a sr20det that's even better, if anyone knows where I can get either one please lemme know.

almost any sr20det motor will fit in any 240sx chassis either s13 or s14 , its a bolt in affair, but wiring is a bit harder the non VVT motors are easier to wire up.
