S14 internal Coil Tolerance?

Looking to find out what the tolerance is on the internal coil for the KA. I know it should check at 1ohm betwen the leads and 23k ohms at main->post. Mine is reading .7 ohms on the leads, and 16k to the post. Is this enough to not get spark or just make the car run like sh*t?

Yes it is enough to cause no spark.....I had a coil on my ser that was 1.2 ohms resistance and the car wouldn't run past 1500 rpm. replaced dizzy and problem solved.

Mine won't even start...no spark @ all.

Your resistance on the post is way out of spec. 7 ohms is a lot and clearly needs to be replaced. I still say yes, that is the culprit. If you plan on going external, and find a good write up post it here man! I can't find one for the life of me. I'm on a old used dizzy and want to switch to external asap.

Sorry, yes I see its .7 ohms which is .3 off. I meant 7k ohms off on the post.... Its toast dude.
