I replaced my inner tie rods with JIC Magic ones. The problem is that the "locking nut" that is on the power steering arm or wahtever isn't long enough to lock onto the power steering rod and end of the tie rod. So now there is no way for it to lock itself into place. Is this a problem? Is there a fix to it? I tightened the tie rod down as much as I could, but there's no torque specs on it or anything. I'm just afraid to drive down the road and the tie rods to fall off. If anyone has any info I would really appriciate it. Thanks.

the lock nut is used to keep the toe from changing. you set toe by loostening the lock nut and boot clamps and then turning the metal arm from the rack, there is a place in the middle for an open end wrench, its kinda flat on 6 sides, youl see what i mean when you see it yourself. but anyway, the tie rods wont fall off, just that the toe will change after a while if the lock nut isnt snug, just dont strip it or anything.
