s14 harness compatability

ok i got a 96 240 just bought it the harness is pretty hacked up and it came with a new engine harness however he dosn't know if its from a 95 or 96 which i don't know if that matters cause obviously one is a obd1 and one is obd2 is there just a difference with the secondary O2 like will the data port still work assuming that it is out of a 95 or is there a way to determine which is which.

bump need to know not about to pull the hacked up harness out cause the car does still run just to find out the one i got is wrong
