I really wan't to see what my car will look like without a grille. It'll probably be dumb, but when you don't have any money to buy new stuff, just screw around with the old stuff, right? So I can take out the screws that are pins at the top (clips they go into kinda break, but it seems to be attached at the bottom in three places that I can't figure out how to undo.

i tried pulling, I also tried pushing it up from the bottom. I can feel like little pins that go through the bumper, and on the end two places, through the bumper and that metal piece. Is there any way of knowing for sure that there's nothing under there, I really don't want to break the grille by forcing it too much. When is enough actually enough?

On my zenki, the pins are plastic, you can pop those off, (they may break, but are like .30 to replace) if you don't want to risk anything, reach around and squeeze the pins and pull it out. I wouldn't worry to much about breaking/cracking your grille, shouldn't happen unless you try to just tear it off.

Zenki's ARE the 95-96 and Kouki's are 97-98, right? I hate asking that and feel really dumb by doing so, but I was never clear (probably because I can't pronounce them... yeah, lets go with that one). I think the 97-98's grille mounts differently.

Wait, grabbed the good ol' Chilton's repair manual1. open and support hood2. locate grille attaching clips3. using long/straight bladed screwdriver, reach in through the grille and rotate the attaching clips 1/4 turn. this will align the square head of the clip with the square hole in the grille4. carefully remove the grille from the vehicle.

I know the two pins on top pop out, i was talking about the three mounts on the bottom side of the grille that hold it in place.

I think that square clip was my problem, I'll have to check it out tomorrow, maybe print this thing off and take it with me. As for the bottom mounts. Yes, it looked to have three places it was being held on at the bottom, two close to the headlights and one in the middle. All went through the bumper and the ones on the sides went through some metal piece. But like i said, let me get a closer look at it.
