I was thinking about buying this 95 s14, runs great and is super clean but the front end is damaged, is it possible to fix or even worth fixing? the car costs $1900

can I just throw on a new bumper, passenger fender and hood and be good or is it not worth it because of the damage to the section thats crumpled??

take a snap shot of the underside on the damaged side..if the unibody fram part is tweek'd..who knows..but if there is limited damage..it may be fixable by a good fab man and a good body tech.

Probably beter of buying a clean car unless u enjoy the work. It'll be more expensive but saves headaches

i'll get a snapshot tmrw, but from what I saw the unibody frame on the underside was slightly dented at worst. how much do you think a good fab guy would charge? Im not sure what would be a reasonable price. I think I read in another post about a guy who just cut out the crumpled section and welded a new piece in, but I also read about people pulling the frame back as straight as they could, what would be the best route to go?

I dont mind it looking ugly for a little while until it gets fixed "if its a reasonable price" i just want the new fender hood and bumper to fit good

I rarely see any s14s around me for sale, if so they are all 5k or more F that!

well 5k for a zenki is BS unless it has alot of mods even then its still iffy.As for the damage i recommend taking these pictures to a body shop or better yet if the seller will let you take the car to a body shop to get an estimate thats probably the best thing you can do. Sure 1.9k is a great price but think of the price of fixing it, you could end up spending more than 5k and could of gotten a sweet clean 240. Though idk much about body work so idk how much fixing would cost but it looks bad I dont think those crumpled parts are removable, and if they aren't the only way i can think of fixing it are to straighten them out which would be hard and inperfect, or to cut them off and weld on a new front end which would probably be expensive. My brothers corolla had similar damage but just with the radiator frame being smashed in. All we did was rap a rope around it tie the rope to my uncles truck put the corolla in neutral and kick pushed it untill it straightened out.Your problem on the other hand seems to be on a much larger scale with stronger metal.

Recap on my long story is get an estimate from a body shop to see how much it would cost to fix.

your only real option is to cut the damage out and weld in new material. those sections dont unbolt. if the frame is still straight and the substructure for the strut tower is still intact and in its original position than it sholdent be too hard for a competent body shop to repair. if it needs straightening i would say trash it. our cars frames are made up of thin sheets of steel overlaped and spot welded with a liberal use of body adheasive (amazing and true http://www.courtesyparts.com/2....html ). thay dont do well on a frame straightener.

I have a complete zenki front end if you need the panels.lmk thru pm. Goodluck.

If the car means something to you then yes. Monetary standpoint, It's possibly totalled out. (depending on mileage, car history, model w/ certain specs) Get it quoted.

well... the car wasn't that bad (frame wise) because it got hit high up, and by looking at the body line (LT Fender to Door gap) the car front didn't get swayed, the gap is good, so there shouldn't be any frame damage on this collision, (if it did, you need to worry about the front suspension alignment too) but the RT Apron Extension and RT Outer and inner Apron Reinforcement (RT Upper Rail) need to be replace, RT head lamp Mounting Panel need to be replace too if it service separately, and new fender hood and bumper etc of course. once thing you will need is a frame machine (which mean in a auto body repair shop), because the apron reinforcement (RT Upper Rail) is a boxed structure and pinch welded 3 metal together so they are very tough to just "Floor Pull" you will need to clamp it down to frame machine to perform front structure pull, to restore dimension, then you can cut and weld new parts together. it is repairable if you know what you are doing and have the equipment, other wise if you are going to have some one do a half done repair on it will still cost at lease $3000 and up, so for me i think it is not cost effective because i got my 95 s14se for $2000 (lucky) and unless you are a body shop tech and do the labor yourself then it's ok, but if you are not well.... good luck, and by the way the door look pritty F**ked up too, you either need to skin the door or get a used door if the shell is bent, so factor that in to your repair cost too! hope this help! GOOD LUCK!!
