s14 firewall/wheel well thickness

so i have some rust in my wheel well/firewall region and i was just wondering if anyone here knew how thick the firewall/wheel well metal is, ive have a stick welder and i wanna know what rods and if its possible at all to weld a patch with it bci dont have a mig welder, and cant get my hands on one.
