S14 Fan Question

Hello I am in the market for Mishimoto S14 Shroud w/ fans... I have a S14 and have deleted the mechanical clutch fan assembly..I have been using the stock AC fan to cool the motor down..if I purchase electric fans do I remove the AC fan or the shroud should just go over it? thanks and how would the wiring work out for that ? should I wire the other fan for AC and 2nd fan to a fan controller?

hey what's up I have the same setup as you . The a/c fan has 4 wires going to it 2 are ground and the other are hi and low. I just bought a fal dual 12in fans and wired one fan to one set of wires and the other fan to the other set. they turn on and off by there selfs.

so its using the stock relay right?

i sugest direct wireing with a 20amp fuse and toggles for at least one of the fans incase your relay fails..you will at least be able to keep it cool and not blow the engine...just my advise.

yes it is using the stock relays there are 2 of them hi and low. liquid cool is corect I also wired a 3rd relay and ran a swich inside the car so I can turn it on and off. with this set up I never had problems and yes remove stock electric fan install new fans in place if stock. you should download the Factory service manuel from this site this will help you find the wires.
