I bypassed my amp last night after it failed. I followed http://www.240sx.org/faq/artic...s.htm but had a few questions. My headunit was put in by a local stereo chain (previous owner cut the harness). After pulling the unit out I noticed that the Green/Red (on/off) wire behind my headunit was wired onto my aftermarket amp remote wire. Is it supposed to be wired like that? Also after wiring everything up my headunit and everything turns on but I have no sound coming out of my speakers. I can get sound to come out when I take a wire loop it over one of the splices and tap it to my + on my aftermarket amp. My next question is about the ACC and On/Off wires. Do I splice those 4 wires together then run a switch to a power source? Or do I connect all my wires on a fuse block then run a power sounce that way? Gah! any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated

Check the radio outputs. Make sure there is sound coming from them. If you bypassed the Factory amps then the grn/red wire has no use being hooked up. Maybe its the power antenea? Did you wire everything exact? Make sure no wires are touching or grounding to metal this will shut off the amp in the aftermarket radio.
