OK I have read over 40 posts about all this and have found some kick but tinfo, just nothing on what I need help with.

So I do NOT have a factory remote/fob, but i learned how to arm and disarm teh system and how it works with just the key. I am hunting down an fob on ebay right now so thats in the works. However my alarm keeps going of because -from what I have conluded- my driver side door solenoid is not registering to the smart entry/alarm system that its being unlocked. When I open the door it sees that it has been intruded upon (cause the solenoid thing isn't reading correctly) and the alarm goes off. Well unlocking the passenger side or trunk simply disarms it for me, but i am sick of disarming it everytime I want to get in the car.

So... I know the sensors for the smart entry are (not limited to) hood, trunk and doors. Unlocking them with the key grounds a signal to teh smart entry system telling it that everythign is cool. Well aparantly my driver side one isnt working. I cannot find anywhere in the factory manual exactly which sensor it is. If I could then I could just ground it myself for now (even though that would allow someone to break in the driver side door, not likes its hard to get in anyway...) or i could see if somethign is just loose from 10 years of opening and closing.

my question is does anyone know which sensor or wires are the ones that the smart entry/alarm reads from the driver side door? I cannot find this info anywhere as of yet and its gettgin really old having to disarm it everytime. Though when I get the remote it will be fine... the driver side still wont work.

Thanks for reading it all, any help is much abliged!

There's a couple of True Installers, that may have dealt with a factory alarm, but they aren't here all the time. I can suggest 2 things, wait for one of them to respond (hopefully) or try calling one of our Nissan Parts sponsors (to the left) and see if they can help you. They're always helpful.

Good Luck

It’s most likely inside the door connected to the lock cylinder, of the door that won't dis-arm when you turn the key to unlock. Also you may have to get the whole cylinder and re key the tumbler to match you key.

My alarm is screwed for some reason. I can't set it off. The security light blinks relatively fast with the car is locked or unlocked both. The only way I used to be able to set the alarm off was when the windows were down, car was locked, and I reached inside and unlocked it. Then it would go off, but it wont even do that anymore. I have no idea whats up with it
