well i just picked up my s14 from va not too long ago and over all its a great car.however the stock security system as well as the keyless entry does not work.also the radio does not power on but acts like it has battery power (put on faceplate it will wind its self down and up) but not turn on.not too sure where to start looking but i plan to go through it this weekend.the fuses on the radio and equalizer are still good and so is the radio fuse so im not too sure what it could be.also and thoughts about the alarm and keyless entry would be great.
How did you test your alarm? Does the light blink? One way you can try is leave the windows open, lock your doors then close the doors, wait a few minutes for the alarm to arm and then reach your hands inside and unlock the door, the alarm then should go off, if not, most likely a fuse or maybe it just crapped out. For remote entry the remote probably was press too many times out of range, when this happens the code on the remote and the code in the car is different. It could also be the battery in the remote. As for your radio, it would be nice if you have a multimeter but if not, it sounds like the constant on power is probably dead, what you wanna do is find a constant either from your ignition or directly from the battery and hook it up to the yellow wire on the deck and try turning it on again.
