Alright, I was on a cruise with a group of friends last weekend, and my e brake has been working fine until i pulled it on the cruise.

It went very soft, and today i jacked up the car to look at the cables and brakes and whatnot and found out the cable came disconnected from the driver's side caliper, so I reconnected it onto the little hook.

I went to test it out, and as soon as I ripped the e brake, it did it again.. any suggestions on how I fix this issue?? Driving me crazy lol!!

Thanks guys!!

Pull the rotors off and manually adjust the e-brake shoes until when you put the rotors on there is a very slight ”drag” on the rotor from the shoes. That should take up the slack in the cables. Also might need to adjust the slack at the e-brake handle as well.

the issue is there really is no slack in the cables.. and where are the e-brake shoes on the oem s14 caliper? I thought it was all just a cable to the brakes..
