Okay, I purchased some 15x8 rims and some 275/50/R15 tires. Needless to say they didnt fit, they were too tell, they rubbed the fender. The tires were 130 each, and the rims were 50 each. So that's $360 down the drain. Well, i'm gonna sell the tires for 200 so i'll make up some. Anyway, the rims by themselves stick out pretty far (as you can see from the pix). I'm curious what tires I may be able to fit on these rims still. The ones in the pix are the 275/50/15s.

I think I can get GForce T/A drag Radials 225/50/15 to fit on my 15x8 rims.

Or I can get different rims as long as they're cheap. Or if there is any other tire that is wide and grippy but not tall that will work too.

These are ONLY for drag. They're not going to be driven on the street much. I don't care how they look, I just need them to hook.

What kinda drag tires do other people have on their S14s?

Why not try a set of ET Streets?

If they are drag specific why skimp?

26x10.50 ET Street = Bling

I have no clue how to do the conversion. Will those ET Streets fit on my 15in rim? They'd have to be not very tall.. I can't do that standard to metric conversion to a degree that i'm confident the tire will fit.

26x10.5 = 26" tall x 10.5" section width

And yes they will fit on your 15" rims.

The overall diameter on my Comp TA tires is 26.1, so 26 is still too big. I'd need a 25 or so to be the best

the 26 inch ET street will fit.remember that you are going to be using only about 70% of the tire, not the full height.

The tires on my car in the sig are 27x10.5x15 ET streets.the 8 inch wide wheel is probably where you are having your problem. try using a 26x10.5x15 or 26x9x15 on a STOCK rim.you'll see it clear the spring and inner fender walls, and still have plenty of traction.

PS: ET Streets are street legal ;)

What would be the specs on a stock rim? 15x7? What about the backspacing and stuff? I can buy one but I'll need to know the specs so I know exactly what to get.

What kinda 60fts do you get with the 240SS. Best I've gotten was a 2.15 with a high 13 1/4 mile. That's with my Kumo 712s, 225

None of the bf goodrich Drag tires (they make two) will fit on any 16in rim (per their site)..... Do you know of one that will?

Are you sure they still make that size? They don't show it on their website.

Anyone know if a 255/50 will fit on a stock S14 rim and tuck in the fender without rubbing?

255 seems like it may rub on the inside.. Maybe even stick out and rub the fender.. When are you getting them?

My friend has some 315s on his transAM, those tires aren't very streetable. I've gotta see if I can find some stock S14 rims (2 of them).

Aries, if you're still around. Would your tires rub if they were out further than your fender? Like if they stuck out like mine do.
