I got a great price on a Differential Housing for a S14 (5-bolt pattern axle pattern) with a 2-Way LSD and would like to know insight on swapping it into an S13/RPS13 Chassis.

The S13/RPS13 Differential Housing has a 6 bolt configuration when mating to the Rear Axles.

I am guessing that I would need S14 Axles, at the very least. What other parts would I need to make it work. Would it be a straight foward swap?

I am justifying this swap for the fact that the S13/RPS13 Differential Housing Bolts on the Axle Side are thinner (I think 12mm) while the S14 run with 14mm.

Any information would be helpful.

I think you have to swap the rear covers. The S14 uses a 2 bolt cover and the S13 needs a 4 bolt.

I put a R32 housing (same as s13) on my s14. It's easy, but there can be some problems. -Is there an ABS sensor on the front of the s14 housing where the driveshaft connects? If you don't have ABS it's too long and you might have fittment problems. There are different opinions on if it will/won't work, so you'll have to search that one. -The rear covers have to be swapped.-S14 housings have large rubber bushings where the front two bolts mount to the subframe. You'll have to have these.-5 bolt axles are JDM specific on s14's, or it's actually off an early Infiniti j30. Either way you'll need 5 bolt axles from either.

Hope it helps...
