Hi guys/gals. I'm from Toronto Canada, and I'm looking to purchase an S14 (LE model) hopefully within these next 2 weeks. But before I buy one, I just wanted to get as much info as possible between the S14 models. I know that the front end and headlights are different between the 95/96 and 97/98's. Other than that, are there any differences with the interior? Any other exterior differences? Is there anything specific I should be watching out for? All input is appreciated. If you guys have any interior pics, it would be great to see them. Thanks in advance.

Where to begin......well, I don't know about canada, but the us has 2 different models in the '95-'96 and 3 models in the '97-'98, and those being base, SE, and LE. LE comes with every option basically. leather, power everything, sunroof, ABS/LSD, etc. SE has most options, no leather, alot of them dont have ABS/LSD, etc. base model is usually a pretty plain jane model. alot of them have power windows, locks, no sunroof, 4-lug hubs (SE and LE have 5 lug 16" alloy rims), no spoiler, suspension isn't as stiff, etc. hope that helped. good luck in your search!

Wow...you guys are fast in responding. Thanks for your input. Actually, I should've also noted that I am looking for the LE model. I know there are some people that are selling other models with the LE skirts and they call it the LE. Is there anything distinctive that I should look for so I don't get ripped off? I do prefer the 97-98 cuz of the front end and also, it's newer. Is there a big difference in the interior between the 95-96 and 97/98's? Also, if I do pick up a 95-96, is there a lot of work that needs to be done to convert the front end to a 97-98?I really want a 5 spd, but it's so hard to find one. All I see are auto's. I'm thinking of picking up an auto for now and continue to look for a 5 spd. More input? Thanks.

the money that you would have in to converting the front end to a 97-98, you would be better off waiting and looking for a couple of months, unless your made out of cash. The basic structor I beleive is the same, but to buy all the lights, front cover, hood, fenders and then get them painted would be very price. Off the top of my head $2-3k. Depending if you can find the parts new or used. Your best bet I would say id to lay low and wait for what you want.

 Wow. $2-3K and thats in US dollars. So I'd probably be looking at close to $4-5k in Cdn dollars. I might as well just find me an S15 front end or.... save up a couple of more grand and do an SR20DET swap. :D
