s14 dies - sputters when giving gas

My 95/96 s14 idles fine but soon as I give it gas it dies out. If I slowly give it gas it works ok. I don't hear a vacuum leak. No O2 sensor for the back. It was a 96 motor, trans, ecu I put in my 95. All 96 wiring. Thanks in advance. Siggy in florida...

check the maf sensor, tps, all basic sensors that are required for it to run

there isnt a check engine light on. Doesnt that rule out the maf? It will rev if I give it gas slowly.

well replaced the fuel filter, which was dirty. Not any difference after a minute. Checked the maf and reads fine. Checked tps and reads fine. My check engine light doesnt work, but the ecu doesnt show codes when tested.
I am guessing fuel pump? Disconnected hose on fpr and no difference. I believe if you disconnect the vacuum line on the fpr (and block the vacuum line) the pressure goes up so I am guessing no problem there since there was no difference...

Just for the next guy going through this, my fuel pump pickup filter was clogged so I cleaned it. That made the pressure go up 2 pounds. Still ran like crap. Bought a new fuel pump and it runs great now. Next trip will be a trip to fill up tank with premium to help dilute the old bad gas and I am sure it will run like a champ. Hope this helps someone.
