So I've been searching on this since Feb when I got the car and I still have not found an answer to my problem. After I start the car and drive it a little ways (.25-.5 mile) the first few cm of the throttle goes dead. If I press it just a little further it's like it picks up where it left off, in a harsh jolt and likewise when I let off a little, it's like I'm not even pressing the throttle at all.

After it does this, if I let off the throttle completely for a few seconds it goes back to being fine until I turn the car off and back on, then it does the same thing again, every time.

I've replaced the ecu and that did nothing. Other than the TPS I'm not sure what could cause these symptoms and I'd rather not start replacing a bunch of parts that aren't bad in trying to figure this out.
Has anyone else ever heard of/had this problem?

i say tps, you can test it fairly easily with a multimeter. use search for the procedure.

Wouldn't that always have hesitation though, not just for a small amount of time then go away until next startup?

your dizzy is in wrong. or you didnt correctly line up the timing marks

as far as the tps is concerned, could be heat related. test it when cold to be sure its ok.
