Just found out my drivers door panel looks like a badly put together jigsaw with cracks all over the place - in particular around the raised semicircular molding.

The elbow area for the arm rest has popped off for about 4" and snapped into three peices which are currently being glued.

Has anybody successfully repaired a door panel before - I was thinking about either some sort of epoxy glue then perhaps glassfiber?

I've got a wanted ad up for a door panel in the meantime though...

door panels are pretty expensive. As long as the vinyl part isn't ruined then i would try to fiberglass the inside of it to put it back together. I just bought 2 door panels for my S14 on ebay and i think it cost me like a couple hundred for two decent doors. Not perfect, but decent enough to have it look good again.

Yeah I looked at the prices on eBay and thought they were pretty high. Same thing on eBay.Co.UK goes for around $40!
