I know of a s14 in a junk yard that has been hit from the rear and wanted to know how hard this conversion is. Is it as straightforward as a s13-silvia conversion? I've heard that it "takes some work" but no one has ever gone into detail with that. Any help would be appreciated because my front end is pretty torn up and I can get this whole s14 pretty cheap (cheaper than replacing a stock s13).

I think it would be pretty sweet... are you talking about a 95-96 or 97-98 one? Either would be cool :) If you get it working and it looks good, its something I might try and look into for my car!

What's up Anand? how's it goin? I didn't feel like making a whole post to say hello. I'd feel kinda weird. I just left a message on your phone right now.

As for that whole s14a or s14b. s14a=after s14b=before but for some people it is alphabetical order so it's not good to refer to it using those terms. It's better to use zenki and kouki s14 to be more specific.

I don't think S14 front ends look good on s13. If you're going to put a different s-chassis front end on an s13 go for the more round s15 because the lines match up better.

oh for sure! I LOVE! my coupe... no one knows what it is (outside the car scene of course;)) people always see the fastbacks, but the coupe is way rarer... plus it looks sportier, and the slimmer trunkline makes it appear smaller IMO:)

I was under the impression that the S14 front end was slightly wider than the S13 requiring a fair bit of bodyshop massaging. Not something you can drag home and bolt on with a little adjusting.

It doesn't matter about what s14 front it is because they both have the same mounting points. I'm not really wanting to know about what you guys think about it. I want to know how hard it is.

wpg240, you are the closest to answering my question. lol, good job......... I just want to know how much "body massaging" is required and exactly what needs to be "massaged" so that I can decide if it's worth doing or not.

But for you other guys, it's a RPS13 and the donor is going to be a 95. I prefer the 97-98, but right now it's just an availability issue. Besides, I think the front on the 95 would match up pretty well with the rear of the hatch (as far as looks and "curviness") alot more than even the 89-91 stock front end.

i've never seen a zenki s14 front end on a S13 period...i think it'd be very cool, and also lots of originality points

It would be very unique... and zenki's rock :)

I've heard it requires a lot of "massaging" as you put it

From what i have heard, you need special aftermarket fenders. The front end of the s14 is wider.Jspec.com sells the stuff you need to do it.

im not so sure the front end of the S13 would look so great if you did that. It just wouldn't flow. But then again you don't want my opinion. so here goes:

The S14 stock body is wider than the S13 by a good distance, if you were going to have it done i would highly recommend taking it to a very reputable body shop. Remember, if you have enough money...anything is possible.

so would it be possile to take some really thick sheet metal and make some strips or brackets to bolt to the s13 chasis and then have the s14 fenders bolt to the brackets? also, what about the front end? does that bolt up? custom headlight brackets? I'm wanting to basically know every detail about this conversion. Hell, maybe I'll make a sticky or a page about it.

reason you have no info is because it would look ugly and so nobody does it. But if that's your thing then ok
