Ok so everything I searched seemed to just tell me different companys people used color and numbers of bulbs. I went to superbrightleds and their seems to be a few options for the #194 bulbs. Their is one led, 4 leds, 6 leds with voltage reg, 60 degree view 90 degree view etc.

My question is is 4 leds or 6 for that matter to bright?

What type of LED can be controlled by the dimmer?

Are all these options pointless just go with the 1 led?

Thanks in advance.

I work every other saturday, and why would anyone install LED bulds in their cluster????? Are you modifying the cluster to install these bulbs or are you replacing the originals, either way as far as brightness is concerned, call the company that makes them and ask them...

LEDs aren't going to look that great in our clusters honestly. They don't mesh well with the way the cluster's designed to light up. The spread will be uneven.

I installed Polarg Hyper White 194 bulbs and couldn't be happier. I get compliments from everyone who rides in my car.

They can be found on eBay easily, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

The led bulbs are very bright but u can't see it very good on the 240 cluster, the reason why i bought some blue led and i couldn't see at all and the light doesn't last long, Go for the stock bulbs it much cheaper and last longer.

How do they look? and which ones did you use 4 led?

If they arnt to bright I may just go with the standard bulbs.

OP, this is the uneven spread I was talking about with using LEDs. You won't have that using a regular bulb.

I used the red WLED-x5 from superbrightleds.com. Not the best photo but lighting is pretty even.

I did blue leds and I don't like the spread. The needles are hard to see but I got used to it. What I wanted to do later (I need a test cluster) is put a transparent blue film under the gauge face and use bright white bulbs. That way my numbers will be blue, needle red, and odometer white. Should look good just haven't had money or time to spend on this project idea.
