S14 climate control into S13

I did some searching for other alternative climate control units in an S13 and only found info on the digital and jdm climate controls. I'm looking for analog/mechanical units.

Are there any analog climate control units from other Nissans that will work in an S13? Such as an S14 or older Maxima etc?

Why wouldn't you go with the JDM digital unit? I have that on my 89 S13. The 94 Maxima has similar climate control sensors though so you might be able to use the Maxima. Why you would want to do that, I have no clue. Crack kills.

Guys tell me that the JDM digital unit isn't easy to do. I asked about other Nissan hvac units because I don't like the design of the current analog S13 hvac unit and was wondering if other kinds would work? Recently, I went to a local junkyard and they didn't have any 240sx but they did have a 89-94 maxima and it looks like the same kind of hvac unit. I bought it from the junkyard anyway because some of bulbs aren't working on my S13 hvac unit. The junkyard also had some 95+ maxima but they have different hvac units and it looks too big to fit into a din slot.

JDM Digital Unit was a wiring nightmare up until recently when I've seen several FAQ's come out for it.

That's what I'd go with, as far as anything else I can't say what will or won't fit. I just know that you're right, the OEM HVAC looks like ****.

Dawg, I swapped in the digital climate control. I even changed the bulbs in it and put blue LED's in so she lights up blue. Go to http://www.silviansw.com and do a search on "analog to digital climate control swap." The author is S13performance. That's my screen name on that austrailian forum. Don't belive all the FAQ's that you read. Your average car person is a ricer anyway. Ricers don't like to put in the effort. If it ain't bolt-on or plug-n-play they don't wanna mess with it. They would rather get someone else to do it. TWO wires is ALL you have to cut and ground. Check it out. I was gonna keep it to myself but that's not right. We're SILVIA lovers and we have to stick together. NISSAN TILL I DIZZ-IE.
