my check engine light has been on for quite sometime. the person i bought it from said that the 1995's had an electrical defect and since it had been hit in the front and the airbags came out the check engine light stayed on. is this a true story or just some BS so i would buy the car?:ylsuper

Im not so sure about how true that is, but you can find out what it is for free by going to your local autozone and have them do a diagnostic check, this is a free service by them. the little computer they have pulls the codes and tells exactly why the light is on.

Or pull the ECU and run the codes yourself...
