sorry for the long story
so here's the story.... my car has always had a bit of a battery/charging system problem... about 3 months ago i found out that the pivot bolt on my alternator was completely hanging out and this was actually causing the belt to slip a little.... whatever: bought a new nut to screw on the back to hold it in. it fixed the problem; mostly. three months later (today) i decided to pull my car out and drive it to get some gas (havnt driven it in about a week. it isnt my DD at the moment).... so i new before hand i would have to jump my car so i called my girlfriend and she came to jump me. while my brother was jumping my car i went to the bathroom, when i came out i saw sparks flying before i yelled "the wires are on backwards!" and a whole buch of cuss words. for about 20seconds my brother had put the jumper cables on the wrong terminals..... great.... so now that i fixed it, the car was jumped properly and started right up. my girlfriend followed me to the gas station because i knew i'd have to jump it again there. but halfway there we were at a stop light and like a ricer wannabe i revved my engine pretty hard (newly turbo'd KA-t btw) and the RPMS went up till the turbo spooled, i let off the gas to hear the BOV and a pop from my exhaust (nothing unusal) but the RPMS went down all the way to zero and the car stalled.... i had to jump my car in the middle of the road lmfao. after almost getting pullled over i made it to the gas station. refueld. re-jumped, drove home, and as i was 10 feet from my parking spot i revved my engine a little and the car stalled again.
some things to consider: i have no idea when the last time the battery and the alternator was changed.... recently turboed my car (running FMU @ 5psi so no ecu backup)
what do you guys think? lemme know thanks
