s14 CEL flashing??

what could this mean?

my transmission is making some weird sounds, and i think it needs a new clutch/throwout bearing.

but it only comes on when i hit the throttle? so me and my buddy thought it might be the fuel pump/ filter? but idk...

and the ecu is throwin a no malfunction code?

cel flashing means a catalyst damaging misfire/condition thats bad enough to blow out a cat.is this obd1 or 2?

only reason it would flash on obd1 is previously stated or, it only comes on when the foult occurs. you have one or the other

ok thanks ill mess with it somemore and try and figure it out.

another thing i got that timing chain guide rattle thing. could this be causing the problem?
